Three Things to Consider When Installing a Firepit in Boise, ID

1) Local laws and regulations: because fire pits involve, well, fire, many areas will have laws and regulations concerning what you can and can't do when it comes to a fire pit. You definitely want to make sure that your firepit and fuel type is approved for your area; nothing would be worse than investing in a firepit and finding out you can't use it. It's critical to install your firepit a minimum of 10 feet away from any structures like your home, sheds, fences, and clear of overhanging branches, overhead structures, or roofing; in fact, where possible, we recommend keeping 15-20 clear of structures to reduce the risk of fire damage, especially if you have teenage children who may build an excessively large fire. 

3) Your specific needs: will your firepit be mostly an adult space for lounging and sharing deep talks late into the night? Will it be used mostly by your teenagers and their friends, requiring a large space for kids to gather around? Would a modern, above-ground fireplace lined with stone in a square shape match the aesthetic of your yard? Or, would a pre-built, metal firepit be better simply placed on existing patio space? Whatever your unique needs and tastes, you can install a fire pit that matches your dream vision.
